Assets - savings accounts, homeownership, college savings, emergency funds - are the resources necessary to turn a family’s dream into reality. Without assets, families face financial instability, derailing their long-term financial self-sufficiency. Promoting and protecting asset building has long since been major policy of the United States. This session connects seasoned veterans or first-time learners with the state and national organizations that are committed to advancing policies and practices that help financially vulnerable populations build assets and achieve greater financial security.
